Goodbye Tinker

The past few weeks have been rough. My apartment flooded for the second time. Only this time it was sewer water, which means I had to move out. For good. The good news is the 'Idaho grandparents' were there. The 'Idaho grandparents' are a wonderful couple named Gail and Leon, who are very dear friends of Andie and the kids. They love Channel 8, and after finding out I was living with Andie started watching me. For some reason they decided I was pretty cool, and gave a place to stay for three weeks when Andie had to rebuild the shower. So when the basement flooded again, the 'Idaho grandparents' were more than happy to have me back. Only thing is Kaboo. Kaboo is their cat, whom they love very dearly. Plus their home is beautiful, which means Tinker couldn't come. The only solution was to send her away. No silly! I'm not one of those pet owners who makes the commitment then as soon as things get rough parades the poor animal back to the pound! I would die first, no no no no no. Away for my doggie means Florida. Tell you what, if you're in a situation where you need to fly your dog give me a call. I decided there's only one word for flying a pet, SPECIFIC. That's the specific water dish, food dish, health certificate, shoot records, sedative guidelines, kennel, absorbency pad, live animal tag...the list goes on and on and on. Complete hassle, but we got through it. Tinker handled it much better than me, and now she's having a fabulous time bossing Bendy around the house and claiming my mother's lap as her personal space. She's starting to like Dad, but truth be told she's a momma's girl. I miss her though, but pictures like these bring me comfort.
